Throughout the last years under conditions of the sanctions from the West, the issue of import phase-out is quite acute. Many Russian companies are thoroughly developing production of goods that have never been produced in the country or the amounts were minimal.
In September DME Aerosol will participate in a specialized international exhibition “Import Phase-out” in Moscow. During the event the company will present a report for discussion during a round-table conference “Import Phase-out in Chemical Industry: Implemented Projects and Measures of Support” on a topic: “Import Phase-out in Propellant Market. Experience of DME Aerosol on an Example of Dimethyl Ether”.
In August 2019 DME Aerosol took part in international conference RUSCOAT 2019 in Krasnoyarsk, where were discussed issues and modern tendencies of paint and varnish industry development.
The speaker of DME Aerosol, presenting a new propellant in paint and varnish market – dimethyl ether, explained to the participants of the conference its advantages in production of aerosol paint materials. Considering growth of consumer’s demand in paint and varnish materials a tendency for growth of paint production in cans is outlined. One of the largest of consumers’ requirements to paint is absence of spills during application on vertical surfaces. Use of DME in aerosol paints allows vendors to create “high precision” versions of paint that does not spill along the sprayed surface.
Solvency of DME opens perspectives for aerosol paints since it allows to improve heat resistance, gloss, to protect from corrosion, etc., which is of no small importance for paint buyers.
By today dimethyl ether is contained in every fifth aerosol product produced in Europe. The same tendency is outlined in Russia.
